Salvador Dali

Salvador Dali was born on the 11^th May of 1904 and he was Spanish surrealist painter born in Spain. Dali was a skilled designer and he was known for his bizarre paintings in his surrealist work. He died on the 23^rd January of 1989.

Crucifixion

This piece of art is a work from Salvador Dali’s scientific period. In this painting one can see that Jesus is crucified on an unfolded hypercube (a cube of four dimensions). The woman that is on her knees looking at Jesus is Dali’s wife Gala. For the background, Dali painted the Port Liligat, a village in Catalonia (Spain) where he used to live.
