Victorian Era



William Morris

William Morris was an important figure in Victorian art and architecture and his influences were spread in the twentieth century in the form of the Arts and Crafts movement. William Morris was born on the 24th March of 1834 at Elm House in Walthamstow. He was a great friend of Edward Burne-Jones who was one of the greatest Pre-Raphaelite artists. When Morris graduated from Oxford he worked in the architectural offices, which he specialized in the gothic revival style. But he soon left and met Dante Gabriel Rossetti  He died on the 3rd October.
