Claude Monet

Claude Monet was born on the 14th November of 1840 and was dead in the 15th December of 1926 in France. He was one of the impressionism artists.

Impression: Sunrise





The ‘Impression: Sunset’ was criticized and because of this painting, a new style was born that is the impressionism. The lighting gives the “impression” or feeling that the sun is rising.  



 Camille Pissarro

Camille Pissarro was born on the 10th July of 1830 in the Danish West Indies. In Paris, Pissarro began to experiment with art and he helped strengthen the impressionist movement with his friends including Claude Monet and Edgar Degas.

For this painting, Pissarro used loose brushstrokes and simple forms that show the impressionist style.
